February Updates

It is hard to believe that we are more than halfway through the winter. BOYNE Racing athletes are skiing fast and we are looking forward to more success as we head into the championship season. Please look over the following team updates.

USSA Victories

Bobby Leddy and SaRa Gezon each won a USSA race in the last few weeks. This is the first time that they have landed on the top of the podium. Bobby and SaRa have worked very hard to ski at this level. Our young athletes need to be watching what they are working on during training. Congratulations!

Highland’s Flyers Program

Gary Miller and Kyle Griffin have put together an excellent program for young skiers at Boyne Highlands. They are working with the next generation of BOYNE Racing athletes on fundamental skills. Gary and Kyle are working on some amazing new ideas for next year.

We are working with Boyne Country Sports and Descente to offer team uniforms for next year. You will have the option to purchase a soft-shell jacket, training shorts and/or a really cool GS suit. Orders will need to be placed this spring. Details will follow.

Summer Camp

If there is enough interest, we would like to offer a Summer Camp this year for BOYNE Racing athletes. We are looking at several possible locations and partnerships. Please email me if you have an interest in receiving information about training with us this summer:

Message from Cary

Please take a few moments to read over the attached letter from the director. Cary’s experience at the highest level of the sport is a rare resource that none of us should take for granted. As Coach Christopher says:

“If Joe Montana lived in Boyne Falls, shouldn’t the local football team listen to what he has to say?”
