The ski racing season is starting to get rolling and we have a number of events happening this weekend.
Training: December 19th and 20th
Training will be available at Boyne Mountain from 9:30 – 11:30am and 1:30 – 3:30pm on Saturday and Sunday. We will be working on establishing fundamental skiing skills and will likely progress to short gates and brushes. Please bring your slalom skis and shin-guards. We will meet at the bottom of the high-speed lift at 9:30am. Look for your coaches wearing bright green!
Racing: December 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd
Two events will be underway in Northern Michigan this weekend. There will be a USSA race at Boyne Highlands (GS both days) on Saturday and Sunday on the Challenger race hill. There will also be a FIS Mid-Am across the valley at Nub’s Nob on Saturday and Sunday (SL) which will then move to Boyne Highlands on Monday and Tuesday (GS). We will have coaches available at the USSA races. Please email me if you are planning on participating in the FIS event, so that we can arrange a plan for you.
We will have a parent’s meeting on Saturday, December 19th at Boyne Mountain in Vienna B room in the Mountain Grand Lodge, just inside the entrance by the water park.
